I managed an interdepartmental team to produce an International Student Handbook that detailed all administrative produces and regulations in English for International Students.

Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School , 2012-2014

 

I designed and managed a week-long campus life orientation for over 50 incoming international students that included registration, a survival Chinese class, cultural excursions and intercultural training. View the information session presentation here.

Campus Advisor Program
Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, 2014 
 

I proposed, designed and implemented a new campus initiative that aimed to address campus living issues and to encourage integration between international and domestic students. This program was presented as a poster , “Community Student Advisor Program: Improving International Campus Life and Integration” by a co-worker at the 2014 Annual NAFSA conference in San Diego. Poster Presentation: Facilitating Social Integration for Chinese Students on American Campuses

NASFA, Association of International Educators Annual Conference, 2015 

 

I researched and presented a poster at the NAFSA annual conference with my colleague Xue Xu (Sophie). The poster aimed to introduce the unique challenges that face Chinese students in the US. Results from interviews with Chinese students and research of best practices were used to present recommendations for insitutional programming.
